Getting ready for your EOS scan at our state-of-the-art scanning centre is straightforward and ensures a seamless and accurate scanning experience. Here’s what you need to do:
Pregnancy and
Radiation Exposure:
If you are pregnant or suspect pregnancy, please promptly inform your medical referrer and our radiography team without hesitation. Ensuring your safety and the safety of your developing baby is our top priority.
Fasting
Guidelines:
Fasting Guidance: Your medical referrer may suggest fasting, especially for abdominal or pelvic EOS scans. It’s best to avoid eating one hour before the scan, adhering to provided instructions for optimal preparation.
Medications &
Supplements:
Ask your medical referrer about whether you should continue taking your prescribed medications or supplements on the day of your EOS scan. Adhering to their recommendations is essential.
Stay
Hydrated:
Maintaining proper hydration is generally beneficial. However, we recommend avoiding excessive consumption of liquids immediately before the scan, as a full bladder may impact image quality in some cases.
Arrival
Time:
Please arrive promptly at the scheduled time provided by your medical referrer. Allow a little extra time for check-in at reception and ensure you bring all necessary paperwork for a smooth scan start.
Questions &
Clarifications:
For any EOS scan inquiries or concerns, please feel free to ask your medical referrer or our experienced radiography team. We’re here to provide information and promptly address uncertainties.
Please note that specific preparation instructions may vary depending on the type of EOS scan and your individual medical circumstances. Rest assured that we are committed to making your EOS scan experience as comfortable and efficient as possible.
